The conference venue for KAON09 was moved from KEK to EPOCHAL TSUKUBA International Congress Center. Please read the message from the Local Organizing Committee on May 24(Sun).

The plenary sessions are held at "Convention Hall 300" on the 3rd floor of EPOCHAL TSUKUBA. The poster session is held at the lobby in front of the hall. Please remind that, in the same venue, a big scientific meeting: 18th Symposium on Environmental Chemistry [in English and in Japanese] is held and all the other halls and conference rooms are used for it.
No smoking is allowed in EPOCHAL. Smoking areas can be found only in 1F Floor, out of doors, at the main entrance or the entrance near the restaurant. (See 1F Floor Plan)

EPOCHAL TSUKUBA is at a walking distance from the Tsukuba station and the bus terminal for Limousine Buses from the Narita Airport. It is close to "OKURA Frontier Hotel TSUKUBA", and right next to "OKURA Frontier Hotel TSUKUBA EPOCHAL".
The registration fee for a participant to the conference
is 20,000 yen.
The fee includes continental breakfast everyday,
the welcome drink on Tuesday,
and the banquet on Thursday.
An additional ticket for attending these social events
is available upon request
for 5,000 yen at the registration desk.
For students, the registration fee is discounted to 15,000 yen.
The registration desk will open at 08:30AM on June 9 (Tue), at the lobby in front of the hall. On the other days it will open at 08:45AM. The registration fee should be paid, at the desk upon your arrival, in Japanese Yen by cash; please note that credit cards, traveler's cheques and so on cannot be accepted.
Wireless LAN connection is available in most of the EPOCHAL site without a special procedure. Wireless LAN service for the KAON09 participants will also be provided in "Convention Hall 300".
All registered participants together with their accompanying persons (with tickets) are invited to the following social events in the conference.
A bus tour to the J-PARC site in the afternoon on June 11 (Thu) is arranged for the participants who have applied for the tour in the registration form. (They will receive the information directly by Email.) No more application is accepted.
The bus will leave EPOCHAL TSUKUBA at 12:45, and return to OKURA Frontier Hotel TSUKUBA at around 18:00 to meet the banquet.
The proceedings of the conference will be online-published on POS (Proceedings of Science). This is an OPEN ACCESS Collection of Proceedings and Lecture Notes, which is available on http://pos.sissa.it/ . KAON09 has already been posted as one of the forthcoming publications.

All the KAON09 participants, including invited speakers, should follow instructions in the web site and make reservation of the rooms as soon as possible !
A daily shuttle service will be provided
between KEK and the conference venue, EPOCHAL TSUKUBA,
once every morning and once every evening,
during the period of the conference: from June 9 to 12.
Note that the bus in the evening leaves EPOCHAL for KEK
at 19:00 (except for Thursday)
so that you can have dinner at around Tsukuba Center.
(KEK restaurant closes at 18:30.)
If you want to come back to KEK earlier,
please use the public bus service (explained later)

The climate in Tsukuba in June should not be so hot but be humid, because Japan in June is in the rainy season. (Umbrellas are prepared for participants.)
